Tutorial on How to Learn to Make Graffiti Art?

Graffiti is an art that began to grow and favored by many people. Therefore, many people who want to learn how to make a good graffiti. But most of them do not know or confused to find out or at least get a tutorial in the study than in the graffiti art schools. Because of the many requests for a tutorial then I'll explain a bit, and I hope it's useful for those of you who are learning to be a graffiti artist. Before we begin the explanation, you first set up equipment such as Eraser, Lead pencil, Paint / Colors, PlywoodPaper.

1. A good place to start when it comes to learning how to graffiti is to acquaint yourself with different types of graffiti.

2. Go online and search for more information by using keywords such as ‘graffiti’ or ‘graffiti ideas’ and so on.

3. Study the graffiti types well. Note the styles, color schemes and themes of all the graffiti you come across. It will help you decide on your style.

4. Start practicing with alphabets. Draw names on a sheet of paper. Start with your name. Learning how to graffiti takes time, but usually, names are the easiest set of words to practice.

5.Visualize the entire graffiti while drawing every element in it. Practice helps you develop your own style.

6. Use your pencil lightly so that it is easier to erase and change the design. Make sure your letters are large and have enough space between them; this way your graffiti does not look congested and is easy to work on.

7. Try different styles and settle for the one you are most comfortable with.

8. Draw every alphabet as neatly as possible. Keep it simple, and don’t start off with complex designs and curves right at the start.

9. Start with colors after you are comfortable with sketching.

10. Get a sheet of plywood. It should be easily available with the local hardware stores.

11. Sketch the design you want to paint. Start with something simple.

12. Fill the design with paint. Be careful and patient. It takes time to master a paintbrush or a spray gun.

13. Work on details of the design as you want. For e.g.: You can change the thickness and color of the outline or shade the pictures to give them a 3D effect.

14. Experiment with various types of colors in one graffiti. Visualize the effect you want the colors to produce and choose colors accordingly. For e.g.: Use crayons and oil pastels in one graffiti or try using water colors with oil paint in another.

15. Remember, practice makes you perfect. Practice on different types of designs and on different types of surfaces to improvise on your style.
